Felicita Hernandez-Lopez
Resucitare
She was a woman of extraordinary love, kindness, and faith—a devoted wife, mother, and Christian whose heart was truly made of gold. Born in Puerto Rico, she moved to Aurora, Illinois, at the age of 15, beginning a new chapter of a life that would touch countless hearts. At just 18 years old, she met and married the love of her life, William Lopez, and together they built a beautiful family blessed with five children—two daughters and three sons. She loved Jesus with all her heart, and her faith was the foundation of her life. She could often be found singing hymns, filling her home and the hearts of those around her with songs of praise and love for her Savior. Her life was dedicated to serving God by loving, caring for, and helping others. She gave freely of herself, always putting her family and the needs of others before her own. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and selfless heart were a beautiful reflection of the love of Christ that lived within her. Though her life was heartbreakingly short, ending at the young age of 43 after a courageous battle with cancer, she left behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years. Her love, her faith, her beautiful songs, and the countless lives she touched will live on through her husband, her five children, her family, and everyone who was blessed to know her. She may have left this earth far too soon, but she is now resting in the arms of the Jesus she loved so dearly. Her time here was short, but her love and her faith will remain eternal.
