Twister and little man
I will forever miss seeing Lawson and Blaire run straight to partner and his big voice saying “hey little man!” And “OHHH twister here comes twister”
Loved his family. Lived life fully. Forever in our hearts.”
William Grimmett Obituary
In Loving Memory of William Phillip Grimmett (Partner)
William Phillip Grimmett, 74, of Adkins, Tx, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 30, 1951, in Corsicana to James and Virginia Grimmett. Throughout his life, Phil was known for his strength, kindness and deep love for his family. He shared his life with his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 56 years, Kathy Grimmett.
He was known for many things, but above all, he was known for how he loved his wife and his family. He was one of the hardest working men you could ever know. He taught us by example the value of hard work, dedication and providing for the people he loved.
He loved traveling and cruising with Kathy, making memories together and enjoying time side by side. Some of our families most treasured memories came from family trips, time spent together around the table for Sunday dinners and those special summers in Rockport that we will never forget. He also loved hunting and fishing, especially when it was with the boys.
He was a business owner from his early twenties until he retired in 2017 from Complete Gear Services, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Virginia and James Grimmett, his Sister Judy Krajcovic and his Brother Jimmy Roy Grimmett.
He leaves behind his loving wife Kathy Grimmett, Daughter and Son In-law Staci and Rick Roberts, Daughter and Son In-Law Melissa and Herman (Bubba) Zigmond. Grandchildren: Kyle Roberts (Shawna), Kenzie Lanford (Collin), Madison Zigmond. Great Grandchildren: Bristol & Rustyn Roberts and Lawson & Blaire Lanford. As well as countless friends and family members whose lives he touched.
Visitation August 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia followed by services at 11:00 AM and burial immediately following at Concrete Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at Grandview Event Center 3982 FM775, La Vernia.
Though he is no longer with us, His love, laughter and memory will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
