Junior was born in October of 1981, so perhaps it only makes sense that his favorite holiday was Halloween.
He was always a hard worker. Over the years, his path took him from IHOP and Hardee’s to VANS Skatepark, Chuck E. Cheese, Allsouth Sprinkler, Uline, and finally, Stepan Company. Providing for his family was something Junior took great pride in, and he worked hard to make sure the people he loved were taken care of.
Junior was a football fanatic. He could spout off the most random facts about almost any player from almost any era—which probably explains why he was so good at fantasy football. He also enjoyed the occasional round of golf with his friends and spending his free time on his Xbox, playing games and laughing with buddies near and far.
Junior met Sabrina when they were both teenagers. They fell in love and went on to have two beautiful daughters together.
After Sabrina passed away in 2019, Junior met his next love, Brittany, who had two daughters of her own. Before long, they blended their families, and not too long after that, they welcomed two more little bundles of joy. Altogether, theirs became a big, beautiful, sometimes chaotic family of six children. WOW!
Junior took great pride in being able to provide well for his family. But alongside the parts of himself that everyone could see, he also carried personal struggles that were much harder to see.
We may never fully understand what led Junior to end his life. What we do know is that his final moment does not erase the 44 years that came before it—the people he loved, the children he helped bring into this world and raise, the friendships he made, the laughter he caused, the ridiculous football facts he somehow remembered, the games he played, the work he did, and all of the ordinary moments that became a life.
And the life he lived was certainly one for the books.
Junior left behind six children, family, friends, and so many people whose lives crossed paths with his during his 44 years here. His story will continue through the memories they carry and the stories they tell.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Rest in peace, Big Guy.
