Jonathan Andrew Mostoller
"I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have called you and you are mine”
The first born child to Tara and Andy Mostoller Johnny was born on Wednesday, May 22, 2002. (Three weeks early). He was the first grandson to Deb and Ron Rett and Jim Schultz, the second grandson to Patricia and Jacob Mostoller.
Johnny became a big brother at 18 months on the dot to his best friend, Ben. The two were inseparable. A little over two years later, the little sister, Katie, that Johnny predicted was born. Ryan, Anna, Danny, Bella, Mikey and Bobby all preceded the crew. This made Johnny the guinni pig of the family, but also the best big brother ever!
Johnny attended Nothside Christian Preschool, Saint Hilary School K-8, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and a semester at Stark State University.
Johnny was involved in so many activities in his short life. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Hilary Church in Fairlawn. He loved God and was involved in so many parish activities that I couldn’t possibly name them all.
Johnny was very athletic. As a child he wrestled, played t-ball and youth soccer, but football became a passion. He played all 8 years of grade school and into the first year of high school. He also picked up skiing and lacrosse as well as a little golf. He loved these sports and played /skied all through high school.
Johnny was also an avid scout. He loved to camp, hike, fish and shoot. He went on several high adventure trips including Philmont and Sea Base. Johnny earned the highest rank in scouting, Eagle.
Johnny had several jobs over the years. He worked for Ken Stewart’s Lodge/Tres Belle for almost 7 years. He also worked for Copley Tool Rental, Ohio State Waterproofing and found that he was a talented salesman at State 8 Motorcycle,
Johnny had enlisted in the army and was set to begin boot camp the summer he passed away.
I would be remiss if I did not mention that Johnny was a good friend to many. He loved to spend time with friends, hang out, work together, help out with projects, work on cars, bikes and I’m sure more. We are grateful he had such good friends!
21 years, 10 months and 3 days were not ling, but Johnny lived them well.
We miss him so very much, but I know that he is still with us even though we cannot see him. One day, I hope that we will be privileged to meet him again in God’s most holy paradise.
