“God Keep”
Our mom was the best mom! She married young and had 3 children. Divorced met another man and married him. Had 3 more children. She raised children from her 20’s all the way into her 50’s. She had grandchildren and great grands. She loved all of us.
Our mom wasn’t a conformist- she taught us to question everything. She was Christian and taught us about God and Jesus. Gave us our foundation.
She always said “I love you and God Keep”
She always listened and gave advice when asked.
She breastfed all her babies even in the era of when breastfeeding was thought of as gross. She knew it was the best thing for her babies.
Mom was a synchronized swimmer when she was young.
She loved lays potato, chips, popcorn, and drank coffee all day. She smoked cigarettes. She didn’t like tattoos or body piercings. She was funny, but also had a sharp tongue sometimes.
She was born in Tennessee and lived in Norfolk, Texas, California, Kansas, Washington State, Indiana probably more. She had 2 sisters, she was the youngest.
I asked her a few years before she passed if she thought she had a good life. She responded with “I really did have a good life”
We will miss our mom, we love you mama, and God keep.
