Rose grew up here in Saugerties graduating Saugerties High school in 1954.

She worked for New York Telephone and later owed and Operated Uncle Chics pizza in Kingston.

After a life changing event Rose moved to Florida and went back to school to graduate as an LPN working in different hospitals there.

Coming back to New York she worked for a short period at Tenbroeck nursing home and at Golden Hill nursing home where she was loved and praised by everyone.

She was a member of The Supportive Friends of Health Alliance, Ulster County Italian American Club, volunteered at The Happy Apple Thrift Shop and worked diligently with their fund raising flower sales.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Glasco, New York.

Predeceased by her daughter Mary Ann Farrell and Mary Anns father Norman Farrell,

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Jeanne VanEtten, Dina Sneddon, ToniAnne, Tara, Albert, Danny, David, Jeffrey Riozzi and their spouses and great nieces and great nephews that she adored, and many cousins and extended family who all loved her.

If you were hungry, she'd feed you, lonely she'd sit with you, ready for an adventure she'd go on a trip with you. If you were sad, she'd say the right words. Our Aunt Rose never missed a reason to celebrate special occasions with all of her family and friends. She cared deeply and found great joy in shining her light on everyone she met.

In loving memory of Aunt Rose

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Aunt Rose ❤️ Not a day goes by that you aren’t thought about and missed. You were one of the most loving, caring, selfless women anyone could ever know. You touched the lives of so many people, and your love reached far beyond what words could ever describe. To many of us nieces and nephews, you were more than an aunt — you were like a second mother. Your door was always open, your heart was always bigger than the room, and somehow you always knew exactly how to make people feel loved, safe, and important. Life gave you unimaginable heartbreak when you lost your beautiful daughter, Maryanne. Most people would never recover from a pain like that, but somehow you continued on with strength, grace, and love in your heart. Even through your own sorrow, you kept nurturing and loving all of us as if we were your own children. That says everything about the kind of woman you were. Your kindness, your warmth, your smile, and your unconditional love left a mark on all of us that time will never erase. We miss you deeply today and every day. Happy Birthday, Aunt Rose. Heaven gained one incredible angel!❤️❤️
