I’ve known Doyle, off and on for over 30 years. We met through attending local county Democratic conventions and through local politics. Doyle was always a passionate and thoughtful person. He cared about others and thought beyond himself. I enjoyed talking to him about his experiences in life and why it led him to be a Progressive and compassionate person. He talk to me several times about his years in the Navy. They really helped to shape his worldview. He believed that a group of people could come together to achieve something beyond themselves and bigger than themselves. God rest your soul, Doyle Fine, you were a fine American and a decent human. I was glad to call you a friend.
