To know Mark was to know a man whose faith was the foundation of his life. He loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived his life with kindness, humility, and a servant’s heart. His faith wasn’t just something he believed—it was something he lived every day through the love he showed to his family, his church, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Family was everything to Mark. He was incredibly proud of his children, Jonathon and Allyson, and nothing brought him greater joy than being “Papaw” to Warren, Winston, and Victor. His eyes lit up whenever he talked about them, and he treasured every moment they spent together. He was also a devoted uncle who loved his extended family deeply and was always there with a smile, a joke, or a word of encouragement.
Mark and his beloved wife, Sherri, shared a beautiful marriage built on love, friendship, and adventure. They enjoyed riding their motorcycle together, traveling with friends, and making memories wherever life took them. They truly enjoyed doing life side by side.
If you knew Mark, you also knew his sense of humor. He never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Whether it was telling a joke, sharing a funny story, or sending the latest hilarious meme, he had a way of brightening even the toughest days. His laughter was contagious, and he reminded all of us not to take life too seriously.
For more than 30 years, Mark faithfully served as a Sales Engineer with Festo Corporation, earning the respect of coworkers and customers alike through his dedication and integrity.
Mark’s greatest legacy is not found in his career or accomplishments, but in the lives he touched. He showed us what it means to love God, cherish family, honor your marriage, work hard, laugh often, and make the most of every day.
Although our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort knowing he is now in the presence of the Savior he loved so dearly. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love a gift that will remain with us always.
So many years of memories. Mark was so dear to my heart. Memories of being 9 years old and him breaking my habit of saying "you'ns"; following Sherri almost all the way home to Simpson after dates to make sure she made it safely; the sly, mischievous smirk when getting ready to make a joke; going to the gym consistently for years and years with his dad; being strong; being always available; caring; always loving and tender with Sherri- he loved her well. ❤️ Caring for and loving Benjamin and AnnaKate as they grew; Helping with all my car issues over the years. Love and miss you, Mark!
