Tribute To My Nephew Tyler M. Bloch
A Tribute to My Nephew, Tyler Bloch November 6, 2025 — A day I will never forget. There are some people who come into our lives and leave footprints so deep that time can never erase them. For me, that person was my nephew, Tyler. Tyler wasn't just my nephew. He was my buddy, my companion, and someone I had the privilege of watching grow from a little boy into a young man with dreams, ambitions, and a future that seemed to stretch endlessly before him. From the time Tyler was young, Uncle Mark and Tyler did so many things together. We shared adventures, laughs, conversations, and the simple moments that, looking back now, were anything but simple. They were the moments that built a lifetime of memories. One of those memories that will always make me smile is our Sunday tradition. Sam's Club. Every Sunday. It started with something as simple as going to Sam's Club for a hot dog. But somehow, that hot dog became much more than lunch. It became our thing. Week after week, year after year, Tyler and I would make that trip. We didn't need anything fancy. We just needed time together. Those Sundays became a part of our lives. And now, when I think about those hot dogs, I realize they were never really about the food. They were about Tyler. They were about an uncle and nephew sitting together, talking, laughing, and enjoying one another's company. Those are the memories I will carry forever. When Tyler was young, he was always involved in sports. He had energy, determination, and that competitive spirit that made him want to be part of the action. I loved watching him grow, learning the value of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and never giving up. And then there was the back field. Tyler loved to mow our back field. To someone else, that might sound like an ordinary chore. But to me, it is another beautiful piece of Tyler's story. I can still picture him out there, taking care of the field, doing something that gave him a sense of accomplishment. Sometimes the greatest memories aren't made during grand adventures. Sometimes they're made behind a lawn mower. Sometimes they're made over a $4 hot dog. Sometimes they're made sitting beside someone you love, not realizing that one day those ordinary moments will become priceless. Tyler grew up, went to the University of Cincinnati, and began building a life of his own. He found his passion in an industry that fascinated him—the airline industry. He had the incredible opportunity to work for Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, and later worked for Airbus in Mobile, Alabama. Tyler loved airplanes. He loved the airline industry and the world that surrounded it. He was building a career and moving forward. He was young, talented, ambitious, and, from where I stood, just beginning to discover what his life could become. I was proud of him. So proud. It is difficult to understand how someone so young, with so much life still ahead of him, can suddenly be gone. On November 6, 2025, our family received the news that changed everything. Tyler was gone. And somehow the world continued moving. Airplanes still took off. Cars still traveled down the highways. People still went to work. Sunday still came. But for me, something inside the world had changed forever. Because Tyler wasn't supposed to leave us yet. There were supposed to be more Sundays. More conversations. More laughs. More hot dogs at Sam's Club. More stories. More airplanes. More adventures. More time. That's the hardest part. We always think we have more time. If I could have just one more day with Tyler, I wouldn't ask for anything extraordinary. I'd probably ask him to go to Sam's Club with me. I'd buy him a hot dog. I'd sit beside him. And I'd simply enjoy being with my nephew. Because now I understand something I didn't fully understand then: Those ordinary days were some of the greatest days of my life. Tyler, you were taken from us far too soon. Your career was taking off. Your life was taking shape. You had so much more to experience and so much more to give. I will always wonder what you would have accomplished, where your career would have taken you, and what kind of man you would have become in the years ahead. But I also know this: Your life mattered. You mattered to me. You mattered to our family. And you left behind memories that will never disappear. I will remember the little boy who was always involved in sports. I will remember the young man mowing the back field. I will remember our Sunday trips to Sam's Club. I will remember watching you grow. I will remember the pride I felt when you went to the University of Cincinnati. I will remember hearing about your opportunities with Delta Air Lines and Airbus. I will remember how much you loved the airline industry. And most of all, I will remember you. Not the circumstances of your passing. Not the pain of losing you. But Tyler—the nephew I loved, the boy I watched grow, the young man who had dreams, and the person who gave his Uncle Mark so many memories. Tyler, I want you to know something that I hope somehow reaches you wherever you are. I love you. I loved you when you were a little boy. I loved you when you were growing up. I loved watching you become a man. And I love you today. I will love you tomorrow. And I will love you for the rest of my life. Until the day my own time comes, a part of you will always live inside my heart. Every time I see an airplane climb into the sky, I will think of you. Every Sunday, I may think about those Sam's Club hot dogs. And whenever I look across that back field, I may still picture you there, mowing the grass like you did so many times. Maybe that's how we keep the people we love alive. We tell their stories. We speak their names. We remember their laughter. We carry their memories. And we refuse to let the love disappear. Tyler, my nephew, my friend, my buddy— I miss you more than words can ever say. You left this world far too soon, but you will never leave my heart. So until we meet again, keep flying, Tyler. The sky was always where your dreams were. And now, every time I look up, I'll look for you. I love you with all my heart, Tyler. Until my dying days, you will always be my nephew, my buddy, and a part of me. Fly high, Tyler. Uncle Mark
