Timothy Christopher Valley
Simply the best ❤️
Tim was a son, brother, friend to many, and the loving fiancé of Chelsea Griffiths (that’s me). He was a gifted sailor and all around waterman, as well as a jack of most trades and a true MacGyver. His biggest passion was sailing, but he loved all things boat and ocean related (he was also an avid diver in his younger years, before the sailing bug found him).
As a marine surveyor for his company Valley Maritime Services, Tim did his part to make boating safer for those in Hawaii and beyond. His business was booming and he had added many services to his repertoire, including vessel deliveries.
Tim had a 5-year plan of buying a large sailboat and sailing the world with me, his sister Star, and Star’s husband, Bobby. We all spent many nights planning what that would look like, researching sailing vessels, and dreaming about what was to come. Tim was a big believer in visualization and manifestation, and while I didn’t really believe in it when I met him - that incredible man could anything he wanted and literally make his dreams come true.
If he hadn’t passed away I truly believe we would be having an epic adventure around the world right now on a boat I could never have imagined us being able to afford… somehow, someway, he would have made it happen.
Tim was a giant goofball and had the BEST laugh; he also took pride in being a nerd and lived his life with the type of integrity we all should. Tim was an incredibly loyal, loving, beautiful man, and it crushed an entire community when he left us way too soon.
Tim was extremely positive and valued gratitude, which is something that has helped keep everyone who loves him moving forward since he passed, and for that I am forever grateful.
THANK YOU! Thank you for everything, my love. I love you and miss you with my whole heart every single day. You are still loved and missed by so many people, including those that never got to meet you. May you have fair winds and following seas, wherever you’re sailing now. A hui hou, my love. ❤️
