Harper Lee Walker
“You are stronger than you think, never give up”
Harper Lee Walker passed away on October 31st, 2025. She was surrounded by her family that loved her to the moon and back. Her peaceful death ended her courageous three year battle with Osteosarcoma.
How do you put Harper's life into words? Describing her as funny, beautiful, strong, determined and loyal all seem so inadequate. So, her family has settled on "otherworldly."
Harper was born on May 14th , 2007, in Twin Falls to her parents Shaun & Niki. What a powerhouse Harper was from the very beginning with her blonde hair, quick wit and contagious laugh. Harper grew up in gyms and on baseball fields with her sister Halle following her brother Haylen to all his sporting events. Harper loved pal-ing around with her sister and hanging out as an honorary member of her brother's teams.
Harper loved her family; not just her immediate family, but cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. Family reunions were some of her favorite memories, hanging out for a week with her "lake family." And boy will she be missed.
Harper was diagnosed with Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma in November of 2022. Harper would not want us to talk about cancer, but rather talk about her fight. And fight she did. For almost three years Harper stared down treatment and recovery. It wasn't always pretty. Harper did it her own way. There was never a complaint about what cancer had taken from her; her high school years, sports, friends, boys. Only paths to find joy with family, music, doing nails, food and shopping.
Harper's family and close friends had such admiration for this part of her journey. We truly believe that Harper consciously kept the pain and sadness from us. She had a deep sense of loyalty to the people that loved her. There certainly were complaints about noise, light, bad breath, but never about cancer. This speaks to the true character of our wonderful daughter, sister, cousin, friend. "She is just so pretty."
Harper will be missed dearly by all. She is survived by; her Dad, Shaun (Shannon), Mom, Niki (Todd), Brother, Haylen, Sister, Halle; Step-siblings Marisa, Tiffany, Cru, Bria.
The family would like to thank Dr. Casey Mehrhoff and the entire crew at Primary Children's Hospital for their tireless efforts to cure Harper. We would also like to thank all family, friends and strangers for their tireless support to the Harper Walker cause. You know who you are.
