Life story

William "Bill" Carey Quick, age 61, of Crestwood, IL, passed away on September 30, 2025.

Born in Chicago and raised in Alsip, IL, Bill was the beloved son of the late Robert "Hap" Quick and Patricia (nee McCambridge) Quick. He was the youngest of six children and is survived by his siblings Patrick (Nancy) Quick, Bob (Diane) Quick, Jim (Mary Jo) Quick, and Barbara (Frank) DeBellis, and preceded in death by his brother John Quick.

Bill was a proud member of IBEW Local 134, where he worked as an electrician. Beyond his career, he found his greatest joy in family and community. He loved coaching his kids in sports and could often be found cheering from the sidelines or watching a game. Bill's quick wit, big heart, and loyal friendship made him truly one of a kind. Wherever he went, joy and laughter followed.

He was a devoted husband to his wife of 35 years, Cindy (nee Mosior) Quick, and an incredible father to Aubrey (Brandon) Hanik, Kailey Quick, and Bobby Quick. He was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews - Katie, Kristie, Patrick (Gabriella), Ryan, Michael, Joe (Kerry), Jim (Jamie), Andrew (Erica) Quick, Frank and Dan (Cora) DeBellis, and Matt Spatz - and a cherished great-uncle to their children.

Above all, Bill will be remembered as a lifelong friend to many, the best dad, and someone whose sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
