

Eddie Julius Boykins - III
Death cannot kill what never dies. Every life is noted and is cherished, and nothing loved is ever lost or perished. The comfort of having a friend may be taken away but not that of having had one. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.
Eddie Boykins III was born to Eddie Boykins Jr. and Marina Boykins. He was born in Columbus Hospital located in Newark NJ. Eddie and family moved from Newark and settled in Orange NJ where he grew up and attended Orange High School. Upon finishing school he worked at various places until he found what he enjoyed doing and that was working on and rehabilitating homes. He was a true entrepreneur at heart.
He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, family and friends. He has travelled to over 50 countries and 6 continents around the globe. He loved site seeing and enjoying new foods and experiences.
One of his saying was “ When I die and go to heaven I want to be able to tell everyone in heaven all the great things I did on this earth”.
Eddie was a giving, kind, loving caring and a generous soul. He was a mentor to all and always had a listening ear. He saw the good and bad in everyone and extended himself when he could. Not wanting or asking for anything in return, it brought him joy seeing someone happy.
Aside from his accomplishments and countless hobbies, Eddie cherished his role as father and more recently, grandfather.
Eddie is survived by his wife Shawnett Boykins; Sons Eddie and Yale Boykins: Daughter: Mikayla Boykins: Grandson: Eddie Boykins V; and a host of relatives and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his wife and family, friends and all who knew him.
