Terri Rene Katus
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
Terri (Walters) Katus was an amazing woman whose kindness and love for life touched the hearts of the many people that knew and loved her. Terri was born and raised in Potlatch, Idaho to Gene and Patti (Curtis) Walters. It was here that she met the love of her life and best friend, her beloved husband of 43 years. Together, they embarked on countless adventures and faced life’s challenges hand in hand. Their marriage blessed them with 2 children, who Terri was immensely proud of. Her heart continued to grow with the arrival of each of her 5 grandchildren. She loved to spoil them, and they created many cherished memories that will endure a lifetime.
Terri had a gift for making friends wherever she went. Her infectious smile and genuine interest in others left a mark on the people she met. Whether shopping, camping, gardening (which she affectionately referred to as “dirt therapy”), or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, Terri radiated a spirit of fun that enriched the life of those around her.
In 2023 Terri was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the challenges, she faced her illness with courage and optimism. Her strength was truly inspiring.
To Terri, butterflies were more than just creatures of nature, they were messengers of love and hope, carrying her thoughts to loved ones above. And now, as she soars among them, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love and miss her dearly.
