Maria Fernanda Abreu Nunes,75, of New Bedford, Ma. passed away Wednesday,April 15,2020 at her home. She was the wife of Jose A.Nunes. Survivors include her husband,her sons Nuno Nunes and his wife Christina Nunes of New Bedford , Joe Nunes and his partner Mark Philips of Florida, daughters Paula and her husband Paul Torres,Fernanda and her husband Bill Anjos, Shirley and her husband Al Avelar. She also is survived by her grandchildren Kayla Dexter and her husband Cameron , Cassidy Nunes,Madison Nunes, Cody Nunes,Morgan Anjos,BrookeAnjos,Ross Anjos and Hannah Blanchard and great granddaughter Kylie Dexter. She also has 2 living brothers 2 deceased brothers, 2 deceased sisters and many nieces and nephews.She was born in Funchal, Madeira and had lived in New Bedford since 1976.Maria was a child care provider in her own home called Tia’s Daycare. She enjoyed her family, cooking and traveling. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her kids and husband.
