Jesse Robert Wetmore
Jesse, Come and sit beside us here. Where you will be forever near. You are the tear running down my cheek. You are the rustling of the wind in the trees. You are the breath exhaled in a laugh. The best little brother we ever had. So come and sit beside us here. Where we will remember you through all the years. You are the warmth of a long embrace. You are the rippling of the stream. You are far greater than you ever knew. Fiercely missed and left us too soon. We love you
Jesse was the only son of Bill and Tracey Wetmore. Born in Albany, Oregon, Jesse was the younger brother to Sarah and Bethany. Jesse spent his early childhood in Albany before the family moved to Sherwood, Oregon in 1996. Jesse attended Sherwood Public Schools, graduating from Sherwood High School in 2008.
Jesse played sports all his life, including soccer, basketball, football and baseball. He was a lifelong member of Raider Nation, and a Duck fan in a house divided. Jesse loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, elk hunting with extended family and spending time in Seaside and Astoria at the beach.
Jesse was a sensitive soul, feeling and loving deeply. He cared a great deal for animals, and was known as a dog whisperer. Jesse always had a smile and a joke, or an ear to listen. His oldest niece, Dottie, said, “He’s the funniest guy I know.” His youngest niece, Margo, said “He was amazing and did amazing things, flipping pancakes so high!”
Jesse’s family remembers him as
a deep thinker, a beautiful soul, and a Spiritual Warrior who had the biggest heart, and gave the best hugs.
