Life story

Joe Bruce Pierce was born to Jimmie and Ivalene Pierce on July 28th 1961. He had 5 siblings: Billy, Jimmie Jr, Johnny, Twylah and Misty. Joey grew up in Benjamin, Tx, where he loved playing football for the Benjamin Mustangs. In 1982, Joey met the love of his life, Beth Sturgeon. They were married on March 18, 1983 and had 3 daughters Crystal, Jerica and Jaelyn.

On August 23, 1993 Joey was involved in an oil field accident in Aspermont, Tx. After 6 days in ICU, he passed away surrounded by his family in Abilene, Tx at the age of 32. He was survived by his wife, Beth and 3 daughters. Crystal who was 15, Jerica was 4 and Jaelyn was 3 at the time. He also left behind his mother and father, all 5 siblings and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
