Summer days on the boat
A life well lived is worth remembering
Vincent Matthew Russo Jr was a very smart, handsome, kind hearted son, brother, grandson, friend etc. To know him was to love him. Growing up, he was the best big brother. Very family oriented and He loved spending time with his family, participating in sports, and cheering on his sisters. Crabbing, fishing, Boy Scouts, watching cops were some of his favorite hobbies. As he got older he enjoyed spending time with his dog Enzo, taking the boat out, eating seeds with his mom, and living it up with his friends. He excelled at everything he put his mind to. In high school he was class president and valedictorian graduating top of his class. Everyone knew him in school and loved his welcoming personality. He was funny and always the life of the party. After HS he moved to New York and attended Fordham University. He also excelled there receiving a few awards and graduated in the top of his class with honors. He was very dedicated to his studies. He went on to land his dream job at JP Morgan in New York City. He earned a degree in Business and financing and worked as an Investment Analyst. He loved to travel, especially to escape the cold. You could find him in Miami whenever it started to snow. He enjoyed watching the eagles, tailgating at Xfinity for the Phillies games, and enjoying his statesides. He lit up every room he walked in with his beautiful infectious smile. He was so fun to be around. He had friends from all over. His absence is deeply felt. Forever 28.

Summer days on the boat
1 year Angelvesary
1 year without you yesterday Dec 1st. We went to mass in the morning that was dedicated to you and your name was mentioned. Then the priest talked to us and said a prayer and blessed you and the family. A little bit later, we went to the cemetery, and we were met there by some of my friends and a few of our family. We brought you flowers, listened to some of your favorite music and did an Eagles chant before we left. Then we all went back to the house. Everyone bought some types of food, trying to focus on the things you liked. Chick-fil-A, pizza and chocolate cupcakes being at the top of the list! We watched the Eagles game and did a halftime candlelight vigil on the deck and I had a stateside toast to you. We made it a celebration of life and remembrance of you. My sweet handsome son. I hope you finally found the peace you were looking for and so deserved! You are missed terribly and loved so much by so many people. You left a positive impact on everyone you met. I miss your beautiful smile and your kind soul and hugs! You are the most intelligent, supportive and loving person I know. Even in your struggles you were always trying to help someone in need. Your smile lit up every room you walked into. You're now a shining star, and your light is needed in this world. You always made sure everyone felt seen, heard and important when around you. Your kindness was truly inspiring. I know you didn't want to leave us, but you just didn't know how to live any longer with your mental illness 😢 You struggled and fought so hard these last 7 years. You needed Peace. Don't worry I will be ok even though my heart is broken 💔 I am so proud of you. I speak your name, share our memories and I continue to live in your honor. You will never be forgotten. You live in my heart forever until we meet again. "A life well lived is worth remembering.. Love you Always, Mom xoxo.
