MaKia Love Boyd

MaKia Love Boyd, age 18 passed away the day before her 19th birthday on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 due to a car accident. “Kia”, born September 2, 1996 in American Fork, Utah, was a cheerful, happy go lucky, young lady that brightened up a room with her smile and bright blue eyes. She loved deeply and unconditionally.

MaKia enjoyed being outdoors, riding 4-wheelers with friends, and taking selfies that showed off her beautiful smile. She loved her family fiercely. MaKia looked for the best in people and her generous heart will always be remembered.

MaKia is survived by her fiancé Colton Zobell; Her parents Christopher Scott Boyd (Misty) and Scott and Brittany Ann Bennett Gilbert; her sisters Mersadez Gilbert, McKenna Gilbert, Jaydean Boyd, Peyton Boyd, Paisley Boyd, Leslie LeAnn Griffith, and Whitnie Gonzales; her brothers Kaden Walker, Isaac Vern Boyd; Grandparents, William Boyd (Melanie), Betty Jones (Dave), Kathy Bennett Neel, Boyd Bennett (Maxine), Uncle Jason Bennett and many aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved niece Aliya, who was her pride and joy. MaKia was preceded in death by her brother William Christopher Boyd, her uncle Brandon Boyd and her beloved grandfather Frank Neel.

MaKia’s life can be summed up in three words; Compassion, Love & Whole-Heartedness. MaKia put her heart and soul into everything she did. We express sincere gratitude to our friends and family as we celebrate her life in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 12:00 Noon in the Cedar Hollow Chapel, 1020 East 1900 North, Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery. Online guest book at wingmortuary.com.
