Life story

David Patrick “Pat” Clark was a walking ray of sunshine. He was the toughest person any of us has ever met, he loved his wife and his kids and grandkids and siblings as much as any man could. He was an avid sports enthusiast (specifically baseball) and a big time animal lover. He was a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan his whole life and his life’s collection of sports memorabilia is now in the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame museum. He always had a huge, cheesy grin on his face and never met a stranger. Pat worked hard his whole life and never missed a day of work, even if it meant walking to work if he needed to. He didn’t need anyone to go with him to go out and live life. He would go and do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted whether anyone went with him or not, even if that was traveling to New York! He loved old Disney Movies and going to Disney any chance he could! His honeymoon with his wife, Linda, was spent at Disney! He was a movie enthusiast and there is likely not a movie out there that he hasn’t seen, and probably has a physical copy of! He left behind several thousand VHS tapes and DVDs for his family to enjoy. His favorite color was fire engine red and he wore red any chance he could, usually every day. He always had a ball cap on that represented some of his favorite teams. Pat never smoked, drank, cursed, cheated and was as honest as they come. He was such a good example to his family and his community and was a pillar of what a good person looks like. He had many health problems and speech problems that would have turned any other person cranky and intolerable, and would have inhibited any other person, but it not only never stopped him from being who he wanted to be but it also never kept him from being kind, funny, outgoing, sharp as a tack, social and always on the go getting the most that he could out of life!

He lost his wife to a heart attack in the spring of 2020 and had many debilitating health problems since then. He went home to her and to Heaven on Christmas Day. What a reunion they must have had! We all miss him greatly. He will live on forever in our hearts and our memories, and we hope that this memorial gives you a glimpse into the magnificent life he lived!
