Michael Edward Babiarz

Mike grew up on the farm and attended school in Weyburn. Mike spent

many hours at the pool swimming and later being a lifeguard.

After graduating high school, Mike continued on to Lethbridge College

where he obtained a diploma in Computer Systems and Electronic

Technology in 2002.

After convocation he started working at Sasktel and worked there for 21

years as an engineer assistant. Mike made many great friends there and

loved curling in the Sasktel bonspiel.

Mike and Lindsay started dating in 2006 and were married in Las Vegas in

2011. Their greatest blessings came in 2015 when Hudson was born and in

2016 when Beckett was born.

Mike loved watching his boys play hockey and football and they shared

Rider Pride. His favourite trips were with Adam to the mountains. Many

weekends were spent hiking, biking and fishing with Adam and the kids.

Mike enjoyed running and completed a few marathons. As a family we

enjoyed playing cards and games together.

Mike was a very calm, patient and genuine man. He loved to read and

research. There was no limit to the wide scope of knowledge he had.

Mike was up for anything and everything from dancing with the family,

dressing up in a costume, building LEGO and even crafting.

After battling cancer, Mike passed away at the age of 41 on December 2,

2023 in Regina, SK.

He was predeceased by his father Edward (Ed). Mike will be lovingly

remembered by his wife Lindsay; sons Hudson and Beckett; mother

Marlene (Jack); sisters Sandra and her children Dustin (daughter Wrenley),

Alex (Giovanna) and Brittany (Cameron); and Shelly (Rick); parents-in-law

Marni and Brian McKnight; sister-in-law Misty (Blaine and sons Mark and

Kyle); best friend Adam (Angela) Donison; as well as numerous extended

family members and friends.
