Life story

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”

II Timothy 4:7

Alice Coretta Faison Fryar, a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother was called into a peaceful place to be with our Heavenly Father on November 21, 2023 at her home. She was born the third child to the late Phillip C Faison and Sadie B Faison on August 24,1947 in Clinton, North Carolina.

Alice graduated from Sampson High School, Home of the Rams, in May 1965 and was an active member of Sampson High School Alumni Association during the time before she became ill. She was a diligent and dedicated alumni who enjoyed spending time with her classmates prepping for the high school and the NCHSAA reunions.

Equally, she shared her time with her children by being a 4H leader, Girl Scout leader, and a softball coach. She was well loved by being a leader and setting an example for children whose lives she touched in all capacities and much more.

She also traveled with her children on various trips as well as supporting her grandchildren in all their activities they were involved in.

Alice was one of the kindest, knowledgeable, lovable, and well-rounded people anyone could meet. She would always go above and beyond for her family. Her style of dressing was evidence that shopping was one of her hobbies.

She was a faithful member of St Paul Church of Christ where she played important roles on several committees. She enjoyed singing in the church choir. Most importantly, she loved serving the LORD in all aspects of her life.

Left to cherish Alice's memories are her husband, Robert E Fryar, Clinton, NC; two daughters, Shana G Fryar, Raleigh, NC and Karen Fryar Pope (Tony), Clinton, NC; three sisters, Marie A Faison and Barbara G Faison, Clinton, NC, Peggy J Faison, Bronx, NY; God Brother, Mozzell Faison, Clinton, NC; two uncles, Clarence Robinson and Ervin Robinson both of Clinton, NC; one aunt, Barabara S.
