Owen Karlyle Fox

SOUTH JORDAN, UTAH- Owen Karlyle Fox was called home on March 5, 2004 at the age of 47, while in the mountains with his son and other scouts.

Owen was born on June 22, 1956 in Henderson, Nevada, to Shirl D. and Elna Gardiner Fox. He grew up in Circleville, Utah. He faithfully served a mission to South America and after he returned home married his sweetheart Katheryn Luke on November 17, 1977 in the Manti LDS Temple. They had six children together that he loved with all of his heart. Owen's greatest joy was serving the Lord. He has served as Bishop and in four stake presidencies, and many other callings. In December, he was called to be a mission president of the Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission. The Lord has other wishes, and he will now serve his mission elsewhere. He enjoyed hunting and camping, and he died where he would have wanted to, in the mountains. Owen also was a dedicated Regional Sales Representative for AFLAC.

Owen is survived by his loving wife, Katheryn; children, Jodi (Kirk) Green, Tyler Owen (Lyndsey) Fox, Tiffany (Noah) Cheney, Nicholas D. Fox, Veronica Fox and Gordon Dwain Fox; grandchildren, Travis Green and Kaylie Cheney; parents, Shirl and Elna Fox; and siblings, Shirlene (John) Latzke, Sterling (Glenda) Fox and Shirl (Tina) Fox.

Owen will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is a man of great faith.
