Life story

Born in Tamaulipas to Dr. Silverio Garcia and his wife Sofia, my father was the 3rd oldest of 6 children. Born in Ocampo but raised in Tampico my father enjoyed swimming, sea food and tropical weather. He was close in age to his brother Victor Garcia who is the second oldest child and through-out their youth had the same group of friends. He join a scouting troop as a teen and enjoyed the out doors and always had a spirit of adventure and in his life he would always be the protagonist of whatever situation was going on.

As a young adult Him and his brother had a party dance group and they would get hired to motivate people at parties; because they lived so close to the U.S. they often traveled to Texas and bought the latest music albums. Often my father would dance to disco moves in the living room reliving his younger days. Him and his brother Victor both served missions for The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter Day Saint. My father did a mini mission prior to serving his full time mission in the area of Sonora Hermosillo in those days it included a few states and was nick name "La Grande" because you had to travel by plane from one side of the mission to the other. There are many spiritual experiences that my father had through-out his life and owes much of his testimony from the foundations he build while on the mission. He was my inspiration for going on my mission.

My father Francisco worked as a math teacher, though he would wear many hats through-out his life. During this period his early career he meet a beautiful women named Maria. My father was a somewhat of a casanova but while many girl caught his eyes as a young adult only one could catch his heart.

Francisco married Maria de Jesus Martinez on November 26th 1988 in Ciudad Mante Tamaulipas. They got sealed later in life at the Atlanta Georgia Temple. Their first son Silverio(myself) was born in Tamaulipas. After immigrating to the U.S.A when Silverio was only 3 years old. Their two other children Melissa and Aaron where born in Georgia.

For a number of years in the U.S.A Francisco managed his brother Victor's restaurants called "Garcia's". My father's charm and charisma turned everyone who meet him into an instant friend. He worked in the restaurant industry for many year and obtain sales recognition. When the economy crashed in the mids 2000s he worked at SAM's club and at a cleaning company that he had with his wife Maria. Due to his health he eventually worked as a greeter at SAM's where he was recognized by everyone as he would always be signing and conversing with people. He spoke a little bit of many languages and could start conversations with almost anyone. He worked hard and thought his children the importance of hard work and a dedication to serving God.

He loved his wife and his children and was able to get his oldest children into university and see them get married. While the youngest child never obtain that same privilege he did have his father as a great friend and a plan for his younger son's future that he shared with the rest of the family.

My father passed away suddenly; In a matter of weeks his health decline. He has a heart infection that traveled to his brain and eventually rapture his brain with strokes. With his children, wife, mother and brother Victor and his family he spent his last moments in the hospital. The doctors said that their was nothing else that would be done and the only thing keeping him alive was the metal lung and machines...but even then his mind was gone. We all sang hymns to him in the hospital and in a prayerful decision gave our farewells.

Francisco Amador Garcia Pina, could sing with thunderous voice and play and amazing Spanish guitar. Whenever you hear wonderful song this is our father Francisco Garcia.

Always Smiling

Hermano Garcia, the man with the perpetual smile, brought sunshine into every room he entered. His cheerful demeanor was infectious, and I never saw him without that radiant grin on his face. Whether he was bustling about at Sam's Club or greeting us warmly at the church, his presence was a source of joy for everyone around him. Working alongside Hermano Garcia at Sam's Club, I witnessed firsthand his unwavering positivity and genuine kindness. He had a knack for making even the most mundane tasks enjoyable with his constant whistling and upbeat attitude. No matter how busy he was, he always took the time to chat with me, his welcoming smile never fading. But Hermano Garcia's kindness extended beyond the walls of Sam's Club. He was always quick to extend invitations to church events, eager to share the sense of community and togetherness that he cherished. His genuine concern for others was evident in every interaction, and his selflessness touched the lives of many. Though Hermano Garcia may no longer be with us, his spirit lives on in the memories he created and the smiles he brought to countless faces. Every time I visit Sam's Club in Alpharetta, I can't help but feel his absence, yet his legacy of warmth and positivity continues to inspire me. We miss you, Hermano Garcia, but your laughter and love will forever echo in our hearts.
