Life story

Lane Weston Lynd age 17 of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away Thursday July 7, 2022. Those who knew Lane, even just for a short amount of time, lost a shining light in their lives. Lane was born January 5, 2005 in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was the son of Shawn Lynd and wife Ashley of Texarkana, Arkansas and Heather Doggett and husband Jason of Warren, Arkansas. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ and would have been a junior at Genoa Central High School. He was also a former student in the Warren School District. He was employed at El Chico’s in Texarkana, Arkansas.

He is survived by his father, Shawn Lynd and wife Ashley of Texarkana, Arkansas. His mother Heather Doggett and husband Jason of Warren, Arkansas: two sisters, Karlee Belle Lynd of Warren, Arkansas and Cheyenne Adams and Cody of El Dorado, Arkansas: two brothers Aaron Doggett and J.D. Doggett both of Warren, Arkansas: his grandparents Steve and Cheryl Tibbit of Texarkana, Arkansas, A.J and Joy Krohn of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, his great grandmother Bobbie Brazell, two nephews Matthew and Waylon Adams, his step grandmothers, Barbara Solida and Kathy Doggett, his step grandfather Dale Doggett, and a host of friends and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his great grandfather Marvin Brazell and great grandparents Robert and Bobbie Nell Tibbit.

Lane was know for his love of hunting and fishing, He loved riding anything with wheels and playing in the mud. He was best at giving hugs and always holding doors open for the ladies and being respectful. He was the “favorite” at deer camp for the youth hunters and helped his buddy Caysen get a mighty “2pt”. We will always have a hole in our hearts, but our love for him will continue to shine, just like HE DID.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be at Knighton Cemetery.
