Sour Oranges

My uncle was visiting us one time and He picked an orange from one of our trees. Mom told him the that he should go get one from our other tree because the tree he picked from gave off sour oranges. He said “You know how to fix that? Dig a trench around the tree and put sugar in it and cover it up. That should do the trick!” Watching my mom’s face, she looked like she was gonna go run for a shovel and sugar! “MOM he’s just pulling your leg!” LOL.

To my uncle andy

I would love when my uncle andy would tell me stories from when I was little like having to change my diapers or make me the one thing I loved to eat eggs with ketchup or my wild curly hair always crazy, he always made me feel like I was apart of his family never made me feel like I was just someone visiting, no matter what i needed I knew he would be there to help or be there for me then I had my kids and he was there at the hospital to visit, when I had my first daughter there was no question on who I wanted to baptize her and with out hesitation he said yes of course baby then when my son came he loved him so much and my son on his own called him gampa and his face lit up and went with it didn’t try to correct him or not answer him when he called him gampa then he would call me or text me and ask where’s my grandson then there were those times when he would answer the phone and say who’s this who are you do I know you and I would always say uncle andy it’s me your favorite and he would say oh and name someone else lol but then he would answer and say hi baby he would love to mess with me well with everyone really I really miss talking to him and seeing him
