2 Years…

I spent a lot of time thinking about you and talking to you today. I’ve also spent a lot of time talking about you to people that didn’t get to meet you- but you would really love; they are getting to know you through me and stories I share. I just miss you. I miss everything about you and everything we used to do. You’re my best friend and there’s SO much I wish I could tell you or get your opinion on. I’m thankful one day I’ll see you again but my goodness, does it hurt in the meantime. I’m going to keep loving people how you did. I’m going to keep taking care of mom. I’m going to keep watching Godfather & listening to the Rat Pack and Motown. I’m going to keep YOU present in my life. I love you Dad.

Happy Thanksgiving

Finally got to bring your “son” by to see you. Casey came all the way from California to see you- I’m glad he did. We laughed at some of the things you used to say to us growing up & we said how much you’d love Emry and how much he would love you. Time is supposed to help and heal and in some ways it does, but in other ways I’m still missing you just as much if not more than ever. I love you Dad… there’s so much I wish you were here for and so much I wish I could talk to you about.

Birthday

It’s weird not having you here for my birthday but that didn’t stop me from having “lunch” with you today. I still had to see you somehow, I know you’re not actually here but it makes me feel close to you still. You always made my birthday special and I loved the way you always sang out “and many moooooooore” in a faux opera voice at the end of the “Happy Birthday” song. I love you Dad, and they say it gets easier but I’m still waiting for that easier part to kick in. Xoxo

Happy Fathers Day 2023

Your name plate finally was installed, it’s like a little present for you today. I’ve stopped by every week to see you since you’ve left us, it’s nice to talk to you. I think i miss you more every day that passes but my people do a great job of loving me and helping me through. David and his Dad got the hot tub running, you would’ve enjoyed teasing them while they installed it. Lol God, I love you and miss you. Thank you for being the best Dad. See you again next week. ♥️

Our bad.

I guess it’s time to come clean that Jaimie and I are actually the ones that broke the railing 🤣🤣 But seriously- thank you for being such a cool dad. You always treated us with such love and kindness in your way. I always knew where I stood with you, even when Jaimie and I argued. You always took care of us and I know you loved the chaos and loud that filled your house when all the kids came over. Thank you for loving us no matter what. We miss you!!
