Life story

Michael Frederick Anthony passed away on Saturday November 12, 2022 while doing what he loved with his son, attending a University of Utah football game.

Mike was born on May 15, 1964 in SLC, Utah to Earl and Sandra Anthony he was the fourth child of eight children.

Mike graduated from Granger High School in 1982. He married Paula Wyatt (later divorced), they had three children Jennifer, Skyler and Nicole. Mikes later partner was Katherine Billinis as Mike would always say “My Love”..

Mike loved the outdoors, his greatest love was snow skiing and he was excited to start the new ski season this year at Brighton with all of his ski buddies. Mike also had a passion for snowmobiles and used to ride all over the Utah mountains. Mike was a life-long season ticket holder to the University of Utah 'UTES” football program and loved to spend time with his children at the games which he rarely missed. Mike's other passions included the game of golf, where he was a member of the Magna Copper Golf Club and spent many hours out there. Mike was a member of the Timp Marina boat club at Utah Lake where he would boat and camp with his kids, family and friends. He loved to tease all of his nieces, nephews and especially his 5 grandchildren whom he adored.

Mike was an entrepreneur, who started many businesses. He invented a dog wash system, owned and operated Tires-R-Us, Picture U, and worked with his Dad and brothers at AAA fence company in West Valley City. Mike was a born salesman, he loved meeting and connecting with people. He spent many weekends at the Redwood swap meet, and other events like Nascar, and the 2002 Olympic Games. Mike, for the last 20 years, owned and operated EZ Indoor Storage where he stored RV's, Boats, and Exotic cars.

One of Mike's greatest attributes was honesty, he was never afraid to tell people his true opinion, he was a go-getter and a friend to everybody. If you ever were a friend of Mike's he would make sure that you were always remembered, even by a simple phone call, an option to go golfing, skiing or even just a drive. He loved making people feel welcome. And he was never afraid to try and make a dollar. For the last 7-years he lived with his daughter, Jen, and Collin, where he truly belonged and loved being Papa Mike.

Mike leaves behind his daughter Jennifer (Collin) Dial, his son Skyler (Mandy) Anthony, daughters Nicole and Haily. His 5 grandchildren. Brothers Mathew, Brandon, Brittan (Amanda) Anthony and Sisters Jann (Dan) McLaughlan, Suzy (Tod) Buckner and Tiffanie Erickson.
