Ernest Eugene Geaslin was a successful business owner and traveled the world with well-known stage scenery companies, and his own company, Dallas Stage Scenery. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend. All who knew him called him "Gene". Gene was born in Van Horn, Texas on November 12, 1934, and went to be with our Lord on March 18, 2023.

Gene graduated from high school and immediately began using his talents working for others with building wood projects. He was at his best with designing and building theatrical sets. He initially traveled the world with the American Ballet and Buick building the stage sets for both. He was proud to progress in his career to owning his own company, Dallas Stage Scenery. Gene built the first stage set for the Dallas Opera. Dallas Stage Scenery continues to build stage sets for the Opera to this day. His business was well known by many in the Dallas area and those in the Opera and the show industry. Gene's respect and pride in his work carried over to his company resulting in great success.
