Life story

Erick was blessed with the gift of song and love of music. He was a member of several groups during and after college. In recent years, he sang with the praise and worship team of New Hope Baptist Church until his health began to decline. In addition to music, he was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams included the Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Vikings, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Every year he looked forward to picking his fantasy football league. And, you would find him in the basement on Sunday eating pizza and watching the game with his beloved cats, Bubbles and Willow.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his loving and dedicated wife of 22 years, Tracy J. Robinson Young; treasured daughter, Ebony Gordon [Stacy] of Newport News, VA; grand-daughter, Jacey; mother Marilyn J. Young of Sidney, OH; two brothers: Phillips Edward Young [Eileen] of Philadelphia, PA; David G. J. Young, Ph.D. of Sidney, OH, Mary E. D. Young, OH; four nieces: Janelle Elizabeth, Heidi Elise, Mary Josephine, and Maya Ruth; one beloved nephew, Erick Michael Behymer [deceased], Dorothy Robinson, mother-in-law, Gary, Indiana and a host of loving relatives and friends.
