Stephen Chaplin 8/9/89 - 3/26/22
Stephen Frank Chaplin passed away in Salem, Oregon on March 26, 2022, at the age of 32.
Stephen was born on August 9, 1989, to his beloved parents, Damon and Andree, in Victorville, California. In Stephen’s younger years he was the comedian in the family and always made his older brother Derek and younger sister Maegen laugh. One of his biggest loves was skateboarding and learning new things. Stephen graduated from Serrano High School in 2007 and served in the United States Navy traveling the world onboard the USS Ronald Reagan.
Stephen was a gifted artist and a fabulous musician. He spent countless hours playing the guitar and was always willing to sit down at the piano, whether invited to or not and treat everyone to a song. He also loved to draw and paint and was continuously striving to create while documenting his artistic endeavors on social media. Anyone who knew Stephen loved him, he brought so much joy and comfort to the lives that he touched.
While Stephen has passed, his memory will continue to live on in the thousands of pictures, and videos displaying the laughter, smiles, and tears he generated in his all too short 32 years. The twinkle of Stephen’s eyes will live on in his children and he will be forever missed.
Stephen is survived by a loving extended family: his parents Andree Scanlon and Damon Chaplin, his stepparents Sean Scanlon and Beth Chaplin, his siblings Derek, Maegen, Randall, and Isabella, his daughter Meira, son Milo, and their mother, Alissa. His Grandparents, Margaret Chaplin, Corinne Miller, Malcolm Elgar, Bob, and Barb White. His many aunts, uncles, loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
