Anita Stockton
Anita Irene (Cossetta) Stockton was born January 15th, 1925 in Chisholm, Minnesota. Anita attended hibbing high school and graduated in 1942. She moved to the cities in her twenties and settled down in Highland with her husband Francis where her son's Tom and Mike were born and raised before moving to Mendota Heights on the rainy day of November 22nd, 1963 where she spent the rest of her life. Anita had a passion for music but unfortunately lost her hearing at a young age. She loved gardening, bird watching and going to the casino with her cousins. She worked for Red Owl and eventually retired from Byerlys. To stay busy, she worked up until she was 89 years old at Cossettas in the finance department. In her final days, she enjoyed company and get togethers with the family. She had an extreme amount of love for animals her whole life and had a special bond with Cash in the final years. Although she had a tough life with many personal losses, Anita was still able to remain positive and keep her witty sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
