Michael James Montesano
Michael James Montesano was our beloved son taken from us much too soon. He is a one of a kind soul that touched the lives of many family, friends, and even animals. Anyone who crossed paths with him was blessed with his endearing and kindhearted personality. He had an extensive list of friends he made because of who he was, genuine, loving, and selfless. He also had a great sense of humor! One of the traits we miss most is how he made us laugh!
He also adored children and animals. He was always saving wildlife growing up and in his adulthood. He was also obsessed with his blue Lexus ISF and constantly working on his car to enhance it's performance. He was a top salesman for Verizon and worked remotely from our basement when he moved back home in April of 2020, a few months before he passed.
He was an incredible uncle to his niece, Jillian who is now 7 years old. He played with her all the time and was always giving her rides on his shoulders. Jillian still holds the memories of her Uncle Michael dear to her heart.
Devastatingly, on the morning of September 20th of 2020, Michael passed away suddenly. He was unsuspectingly sold a dosage of fentanyl that took his life from us. This was the absolute worst day of our lives. To this day it is still hard to accept the incredible loss of our Son, Michael.
There is some silver lining to Michael’s story. Fortunately, he had a dash camera in his car he used to upload videos of him driving. Fortunately, enough footage was captured on the dash camera of the man who sold the fatal dose to our beloved son. We are grateful to share the man who sold this poison to our son is currently serving 15 years without the opportunity of parole in federal prison.
We hope Michael’s story raises awareness to the contribution of fentanyl that has been taking way too many young lives. We thank you all for visiting our son's memorial. Please leave a tribute if Michael’s story has touched your heart.
We love you eternally with all our hearts, beloved Son, Michael.
May God be with you always.
Love Always,
Mom & Dad
