Margrit and Rudolf Roschmann

November 1, 1934
Bedford, TX
Life story

Our beloved mother Margrit Roschmann, 87, passed away on October 17, 2022 in Fort Worth TX, surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of Karl and Elise Jakob, born on 11/1/34 in Teufen, Switzerland. She is survived by her husband Rudolf Roschmann, her children Moneca Sheldan, Peter Roschmann, Alfred Roschmann, and Lisa Gray and nine grandchildren.

Margrit lived in Switzerland until 1957 when she followed her dream to immigrate to the United States. Three years later, her beau Rudolf Roschmann joined her in the US and they were married for 62 years. They lived in Bedford since 1969, where all four children were raised. Margrit was a courageous but humble woman. She was talented artistically and as a gardener and loved to dance. She always had a contagious smile with hugs and love for everyone. She taught us to love nature, try new things and be humble no matter our success. Margrit was an active community volunteer, including teaching line-dance class at the Bedford Senior Center for 30+ years and part of the Bedford Beautification gardening efforts.
