Once upon a time, in the not-so-distant year of 1995, a legend was born on the 24th of May. His name was Forrest Scott, and he was destined for greatness—or at least a life filled with adventure, sports, and a touch of humor.
Forrest's journey began with a unique hobby at the tender age of three: scrap metal salvaging with his dear Papa. While other toddlers were busy playing with building blocks and toy cars, Forrest was already learning the value of recycling and turning trash into treasure.
As a child, Forrest's love for sports knew no bounds. He played almost every sport under the sun, even giving soccer a whirl for a year. His passion for athletics eventually led him to the world of little league baseball, where he pitched a no-hitter in the playoffs at the ripe age of 9, earning him a signed game ball and a place in local sports history.
As Forrest entered his teenage years, he traded in his baseball glove for a motocross bike, racing his way to numerous championships and victories at the local track. He was a force to be reckoned with on two wheels, and his opponents could only watch in awe as he left them in the dust.
After graduating high school, Forrest decided to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps. He spent four years in the Marines, honing his skills and discipline, and making lifelong friends along the way.
Upon returning to civilian life, Forrest joined the Polk County Sheriff's Office, where he continued to serve his community with honor and dedication and earned both the Medal of Valor and the Life Saving Medal. But perhaps the most significant moment in Forrest's life came when his daughter was born. The joy and pride he felt as a father were unmatched, and he knew that no championship or medal could ever compare to the love he had for his little girl.
Tragically, Forrest's life was cut short on August 21, 2023. He left behind a legacy of adventure, determination, and love. Though he may be gone, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him and the many lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
