Introduction
Family & Friends - On behalf of the family attending of William Alfred Green known to all as "Bill”, We thank you for today is a very sad time for Margaret, David, Katrina, Belinda and Kev, grandchildren Mitchell, Madeline, Candice, and Lauren, Great grandchild Tyson, also the extended family.
This grief is as much a part of the human condition as love. Those who love deeply will grieve deeply, no philosophy or religion ever taught, can prevent the wholly natural reaction of the human Nothing can now detract from the love and the friendship shared with Bill. When you talk about Bill today and in the days and years to come, you will reminisce, laugh and cry. Your memories of him will grow stronger.
Know that, in the grand scheme of things, we live in a world where rainy days eventually give way to sunnier skies and where simply believing in tomorrow takes you halfway up the mountain to getting beyond any sorrow you may have.
Bill has had good health most of his life, worked hard as a farmer and as his body aged, his health started to deteriorate in June after his last operation.
Bill was strong, tried to overcome the obstacles in his way and fort hard to stay with you but he peacefully closed his eyes in the serenity of his home with family by his side.
He is now at peace and out of pain.
Eulogy.
Bill is the son of Eric and Mary, one of 5 children with Tony, Margaret (dec), Peter and Barry.
Bill and his brothers purchased "Meadow Flat in 1963. Not long after Bill went out on his own in the farming world. 1965 Bill and Margaret married and moved to "Meadow Flat" which David arrived then Katrina and Belinda, Grandchildren Mitchell, Madeline, Candice and Lauren Great grandson Tyson.
Bill was a very hard working man who wanted no fuss, just something simple, however just a few things about him, he could turn his hand to anything, A jack of all trades, farming he loved best, fabrication work, shearing shed, workshop and machinery sheds, best of all their own home.
Bill and Margaret traveled Australia in the motor home called "JUST DUN IT". He enjoyed a beer at the Pub or Golf Club with his mates. going out for dinner, camping down by the river or just kicking back at home around the fire on the verandah.
A good Husband, Dad, Pop, Brother, Uncle and mate to many.
It is hard to say just a little, so lucky you all knew Bill well.
Just for the record the person who put the toys in the trees in the Gunningbland area some 8 years ago, is this wonderful man we are saying goodbye to today.
Just close your eyes and you will see all the memories you have of me just sit and relax and you will find I'm still inside your mind.
Don't cry for me now I'm gone, for I'm in the land of song. There is no pain there is no fear so dry away that silent tear.
Don’t think of me in the dark and cold for here I'm no longer old a place that's filled with love known to you all.
My eyes were strangely dry, I was to learn that this place sheds no tears then I thought of you all, your hurt, your sorrow today, so sad for me.
I ask of you, tomorrow smile for me, think of me with gladness, for my strength is your strength, my peace is your peace.
I have never left you and you will never leave me.
As we listen to the music and as Bill would say
"GOTTA HIT THE ROAD"
Bill may your spirit fly free and peace be your gift.
William Alfred Green rest in peace

Nearer my God to thee
My favourite memory
Shot Gun
Sing me an old Irish song
Don't fence me in
Sail along silvery moon
