Life story

Ryan Anthony Updyke passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2022 at the age of 19. He is survived by his parents, Renee Updyke Armstrong and Rudy Anthony Torres as well as stepdad, Chris Bentler, and stepmom, Lisa Gonzalez. He had six siblings: Jayden Bentler, Christian Bentler, Alyssa Updyke-Gonzalez, Nick Bentler, Colton Bentler and McKenna Torres as well as brother-in-law Max Gonzalez.

Ryan attended Westwood High School until transferring to Early College High School.

Ryan’s presence was larger than life. He had a smile that could light up the darkest room and a contagious laugh. The only thing bigger than Ryan’s smile was his heart. He had a tender heart and cared deeply for others, even when teasing.

Ryan leaves a hole in the hearts of many and will forever be missed.
