Dale Wood
D. Dale Wood passed away peacefully at his Wimberley residence on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the age of 76. Dale was born in Hubbard, Texas on July 27, 1938 and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1961 with a degree in business. He spent the majority of his professional life working in the oil and pipeline industry in Houston, Texas. Dale served the bulk of his career at CRC-Evans Pipeline International where he eventually became President and CEO. Additional career accomplishments include serving on the Board of Directors for Drilltec as well as numerous other companies.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brother and one son and daughter. He is survived by his wife Janeé, his brother, twin sister, uncle, one son, five daughters, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandson. Dale leaves behind a lasting legacy of love in the hearts of all those close to him.
A Funeral service will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home in Wimberley, Texas on Sunday, January 11th at 1:00pm, with a burial to follow at the Wimberley cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Dale's honor to the Salvation Army.
