Life story

Emileigh was the firstborn child of Jacob and Cassie (Nagele) Freese, and sister to Ezra. She was so beautiful! Shortly after her birth she was diagnosed with a rare brain malformation called polymicrogyria. Even though it caused her many challenges she always had a smile and looked at the bright side of life.

She adored her brother, and one of our favorite photos is when she met him the first time. She loved being around other kids, playing with her light up toys, listening to Adele and Disney princess songs, and going for bumpy rides in her wheelchair. Many times, when she wasn't feeling well (or mom and dad were tired) we just cuddled and watched movies. She was the best cuddler!

She received phenomenal care from her clinicians at Cincinnati Children's, giving her a great quality of life. Though her time with us was very short, her quality of life was of utmost importance, which I hope you can see in her images and videos.
