Nathan Paul Dean
May 18, 2001 - Dec 6, 2021

LEESBURG, VIRGINIA - Nathan Paul Dean, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.

Born on May 18, 2001, in Falls Church, Virginia, Nathan was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He was a graduate of Loudoun County High School, where he proudly belonged to the class of 2019 as a Raider. Nathan was a Junior at Christopher Newport University, pursuing a degree in Communications, and he found great joy as a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

Nathan's love for sports was a significant part of his life. Whether it was football, basketball, dodgeball, or lacrosse, he enthusiastically participated and even refereed for Ida Lee Flag Football, CLBL Basketball, and CNU Intramural Sports. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of sports statistics, with Duke Basketball and the Denver Broncos being among his favorite teams.

Known for his infectious smile, sweet laugh, and kind heart, Nathan had a profound impact on everyone he met. His presence brightened the lives of those around him.

Nathan is survived by his loving family: his mother, Karin; his father, Brian; his sister, Zoë; and his brother, Jordan, all of Leesburg, Virginia. He will be forever remembered by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Rosanna Sellers of Daleville, Virginia, and paternal grandmother, Jean Dean of Marion, Virginia. Nathan was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Young Miller, and paternal grandfather, Paul Dean. He also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A candlelight vigil in memory of Nathan will take place at the Ida Lee Park Gazebo on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 5 to 7 pm. Parking will be available in the front field, and in case of rain, the outdoor pool and soccer field parking lots will be open.

A public visitation has been arranged for Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 5 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel.

Friends are invited to gather at 1:30 pm at Cornerstone Chapel on Monday. Attendees are welcome to bring a token to be displayed on a memory table in remembrance of Nathan. A video tribute will be shown during a time of reflection before the service commences at 2 pm.

Funeral services to celebrate Nathan's life will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Cornerstone Chapel, located at 650 Battlefield Parkway SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175. The service will begin at 2 pm.

Interment will be a private ceremony held at a later date, reserved for close family members.
