Alfredo Hurtado
“Lleva el carro como tu lo veas.”
Alfredo came to the US in 1968 with his wife and daughter, escaping communism in Cuba.
Wearing a cowboy hat he carried the hopes and dreams of a better life for his family.
The early years of life in their adopted land were difficult. Working long hours in the construction trade quickly afforded him the down payment on a house in North Miami.
Wanting to steer the car in his own direction, he started his own construction company where he built additions all over Miami, and later went into cabinet work, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. Word of mouth spread quickly and he always had work.
Soon, a second daughter was born. The family lived a very happy life in their home in North Miami. Alfredo was a wonderful husband to his wife Fedelia and dad to his daughters, Fedelia (jr.) and Alina.
