David Paul Egigian

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Paul Egigian, beloved Husband, Father, and Poppa, 81 of South San Francisco. He passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, with his family by his side.

David was born in San Francisco to Mae Agnes (Lucia) and George Crosby Egigian on April 6, 1941. David grew up in San Francisco. He lost his mother, Mae at an early age which forever left a hole in his heart. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Platek on October 15, 1960, and they were just one day shy of celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Egigian, their children, Barbara and Manuel Bonilla, James Egigian, and Micheal and Shari Egigian of Anaheim, his brother Ronald Egigian of Pacifica, his sister Carole Emmons of Hayward, his grandchildren, GeenaMarie Lucia Bonilla (Chloe), Madeline Lucia Bonilla, and Jasmine Nicolle Bonilla of Foster City and Daniel Anthony Bonilla; great-grandchildren, Layla, Anthony, Xavier, Sebastian and Jacqueline Alverez of Yuma, Arizona and A.J. Patea of Foster City.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Mae and George Egigian, in-laws Mary and Harry Platek, many beloved aunts and uncles, and countless other loved ones.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his medical team: Dr. Paley, Dr. Zipkin, Dr. Coskey, Dr, Ginwalla, Dr. Chee, Sutter Health-Sutter Care at Home Hospice team, his nurse JB and Dr. Kaldor.
