Billye Lee Littleton Hawes
Mammy loved life and life loved her back
Billye Littleton Hawes, age 65, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Monday afternoon, November 18, 2013, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born September 11, 1948, in Grayson, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Clarence Littleton and Virginia Maggard Stevens.
Billye was a member of the Olive Hill Church of Christ and was retired. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, and watching scary movies with the kids and grandbabies. She traveled to Israel, Hawaii, and one of her favorite adventures she took, was to New York to listen to Stephen King read his novels aloud. She loved traveling with her kids and grandbabies to Tennessee at Christmas and spending time with her friends and especially her family. The sacrifices she gave to raise her children alone as a single mother were extraordinary. Mammy was a beautiful, amazing, strong, loving, selfless woman. That will always be cherished and missed by many.
Billye is survived by three daughers and sons-in-law, Jenny and Charlie Knipp of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Suzi and Ed Ginter of Grayson, Kentucky, and Samantha and Sam Thompson of Olive Hill, Kentucky and one son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Gretchen Kiser of Centreville, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Tyberius Knipp, Landace Allen, Alexandria Knipp, Triston Ginter, and Justina, Freddy, and Spencer Kiser. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Charlie Knipp, Ed Ginter, Sam Thompson, Tracy Kiser, Tyberius Knipp, and Triston Ginter will serve as pallbearers.
