Michael Decker
Michael L. Decker, age 70, of Carson City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Michael was born August 23, 1951, in Battle Creek, the son of Laverne and Dorothy (Hainer) Decker. Mike graduated from Carson City-Crystal High School, the class of 1970. Mike married Tamela McCallister on June 19, 1976, at the Butternut Bible Church. He worked many years as a factory worker, finishing his career at Mahle Engine Components in St. John’s. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carson City. Mike loved to bake and go to car shows. He was a corvette enthusiast. He also loved playing cards, especially Euchre.
He is survived by his children, Matthew Decker of Haslett, Joshua (Braida) Decker of Gladwin, and Hannah Decker of Haslett; four grandchildren, William “Liam”, Xavier, Eloise, and Gideon; six siblings, Linda, Sandy, Penny, Steve, Pat, and Pam; and many other nieces and nephews, friends and family, who will miss him dearly. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tamela; and sister, Wendy.
