Ronnie Moore - Sgt. USMC
Proud Marine, loving husband, father, grandfather (Poppy and PawPaw), great-grandfather, brother, uncle and son.
Ronnie was born on August 13, 1946 to Woodrow and Emily Moore in Charlotte, NC. He graduated from Garinger High School in 1964.
After graduating he joined the United States Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of Sergeant E5. He was active duty for four years, where he served one tour during the Vietnam War. He then served two years in the Marine Corps Reserves.
After serving in the Marine Corps, his first job was shipping manager with Overnight Trucking. He then started peddling furniture in High Point, NC. He worked several years with Claude Gable, who also served as his mentor in business. Ronnie eventually owned his own furniture business called Quality Craft. He continued driving trucks until his retirement in 2019.
Ronnie loved his family, the US Marine Corp and cowboys. He enjoyed riding horses and playing golf. He loved any outdoor activities, muscle cars and travel.
Ronnie was predeceased by his parents Woodrow and Emily. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Frances Fowler Moore and one sister Meta Moore and her daughter and son. He is survived by four children, Shane Moore (Amy), Brent Moore (Jennifer), Valerie Galloway (Nathan), Nick Moore (Suzy) and Stepson Tommy Santin. He has nine grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by Frances’ five children, Kory Williford (Allen), Casey Cecil (Erin), Curtis Cecil and John “J.R.” Cecil, Hannah Rice (Brandon) and eleven grandchildren.
