Veronica Martinez
Veronica was born on a hot summer day in the month of June. About one month later, she was baptized in the Catholic Church. She would remind us while we were growing up that going to school was not easy. During those times, they were disciplined, quite heavily, but she said she always liked going and learning. She would reminisce about the lunches that she would buy when she had the money. As soon as she was able to, she started working. She met our father at the age of 22 and a few months later were engaged to be married. They wasted no time and had their daughters less than one year after being married. Three years later, they had their first boy, Junior. Three years after that, they had their last son. She was a stay at home mom who was always very creative and artistic. She was a lover of music and singing, and always had something playing in the background. She was a ray of sunshine on the dance floor and did not hesitate to break the ice when nobody would get up. She was known for her wild spirit and storytelling abilities. She always had a joke or funny story to spare. Her greatest accomplishment was being a great mother and loving wife. She made it many sacrifices in her life, all while keeping true to being a good motherly figure.
