Salvatore Cucorullo
Cucorullo, Salvatore F. "Sal" 65, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010, surrounded by his family when our angels called him home. Born on May 20, 1945 in Italy to the late Dominick and Emilia Cucorullo, Little did that young boy know when he set sail for America, 55 years ago that one day a great man would leave behind a legacy that would span 2 countries. His legacy of love, a testimony to his great life, includes his wife, Patrice Ortale; his children: Tara Felice and Tommy, Neysa Lynn and Billy, Anthony Patrick, and Patrick Joseph; his only grandson, (Nono's little hunting buckaroo) Liam Dominick, and granddaughter Salviana ; his brothers and sisters: John and Claudette, Brian, Kathleen, Keith, Kim, Lynn, Bobby, Ree, and his young Safari guide, Anthony; his nieces and nephews that meant the world to him: Eric, Tyler, Nicole, Jason, Kyle, Shannen, Ryan, Travis, Mary Katherine, Celina, Michael, Maria, Michaela, Maeve, Michael, Nico, Kyra, Dillion, Deanna, and Kaitlyn. And those that could not simply be called friends because of the place of honor they held in his heart: Sammy and Sharon, Bobby and so many others. In Heaven he joins our family of angels: Dominick, Emilia, Agnes, Clement, Patrick, Mary, and his hunting partner, Michael. Sal was a man that aspired to do great things, and expected nothing less of those he leaves behind. He loved to travel, to fish and to hunt, but most of all he loved his family. His friends of many years will fondly remember him as a mighty "Buwana". His family will remember him as legendary. Oh the tales we will tell. He touched so many lives in so many ways. Anyone who knew Sal knows how much he will be missed. The next time you see a mighty buck that stops and stares at you for just a moment, smile and remember Sal, and know he is watching over you.
