Life story

Jack was born, raised and educated in Galva Illinois to Bernice and Roy Rosenow and later adopted by Edgar Burnett.

Jack was the third of eight children, with five brothers and two sisters, most are here with him at Galva Cemetery.

Jack joined the army straight out of High School and married JoAnn Stuart the following October (10/11/52). They had four children, Kathleen, Tana, Jack and Debbie. Together they traveled the world as a proud military family.

Jack served in the Korean Conflict, Lebanon Crisis, and the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic and meritorious service. He retired in April 1971 after 20 years of service and returned to raise his family in his hometown of Galva.

Jack and JoAnn have seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and although they didn't meet most of them, their love is a part of each of them. JoAnn died on 1/9/1976.

Jack married Linda Bloom on 5/12/1982 and was stepfather to her two children, Jeff and Lori Robinson.
