Life story

Nancy E Ferriera was born on July 10th, 1947, in Oakdale California. Daughter to Domingos (Mike) and Betty Jo (Reno). Mike was a dairy farmer and Betty was a seamstress. They lived in Dos Palos for a few years of Nancy childhood where she went to Dos Palos Elementary. In her teen years they moved to Hollister Ca living off the road of Lovers Lane. Nancy attended Hollister High where she graduated from there in 1965. Nancy also had a brother and sister who came along later in her life Pat and Sue. She then went on to Gavlin College in Gilroy Ca to get her AA. Nancy eventually moved to San Jose Ca with some girlfriends and that is where she met her husband of 43 years Mike Viverito at. Mike and Nancy got married in Lake Tahoe NV in 1979. They live in the East Foothills of San Jose for 43 years. In June of 1981 Nancy gave birth to her daughter Gina Y Viverito. Nancy worked many years as a purchaser for various high-tech companies like Rolm and On Command. Eventually Nancy got out of that field where she worked the last 10 years for the East Side Union High School District as a paraeducator. Mike was a lifetime member of San Jose Elks #522 and they both enjoyed attending all their events. They also would go camping with friend from the elks who formed an RV group in the late 90s. Nancy was very involved with the elks not only supporting Mike as he went through the chairs to become ER but helping plan events like the fashion show or craft show to raise money for Elk's favorite charity. Nancy enjoyed her naps in her off days from work or anything fun. Nancy and Mike did travel after retirement. She keep herself busy with Mike going to SOS events, Elk events or even a getaway for the weekend. In 2007 Nancy's daughter Gina gave birth to her 1 and only granddaughter Alize. Nancy enjoyed having her around and spending time with her. Nancy and Mike always took their granddaughter everywhere form Monterrey, to the movies and many many more fun places. Nancy was a busy bee and was very social. Nancy enjoyed cooking and was known for her broccoli sufley, clam dip and shrimp dip. Nancy cooked for many holidays during her 43 years that she was married to Mike. Sadly, in early Feb of 2023 Nancy lost Mike to lung cancer. At this point in her life Nancy had already been diagnosed herself with dementia. Her daughter Gina took over her care the best she could after Mike passed. Nancy was placed in an awesome senior home called Gardenia Home in Campbell, Ca. Nancy received the best care that money could buy and had caring staff who attended to all her needs including entertainment. Nancy spent her final days in this home where on Jan 22nd, 2025, at 9:18am she took her final breath. She was at peace again from this horrible disease and went home to heaven to be with her husband again and her parent's. 1947-2025 Rest in Paradise
