My Best Friend

Bailey and I first got to know each other during our time studying abroad in Rome for spring semester of junior year at UST. Opposites in many of our characteristics, we became friends shortly after moving into Bernardi. After all, they say opposites attract, right? Or maybe Bailey was forced to befriend me after our roommates started hanging out together. Either way, I consider it a great blessing to have met Bailey when I did, as we quickly became best friends. What started across the pond turned into hanging out all of senior year and, after graduation, asking him to stand by Makayla and I on our wedding day. One of my favorite memories with Bailey was tubing down the Cannon River in Welch, MN once when Bailey was in town for a visit. We had a drought that year, and the river was unusually shallow, causing us to bottom out halfway down the river. Carrying our tubes while walking down the middle of the river brought lots of laughs and a good memory! I have so many other fond memories with Bailey, and for that I am grateful. I can honestly say I will forever cherish having gotten to know Bailey. He was truly a man of God and a beautiful representation of what it looks like to live life as a Catholic Christian. Bailey, please pray for me, as I will for thee, that we may merrily meet in heaven. Love you Brother.

Our Nephew and Cousin

No words can express how much we miss you Bailey. Because our families lived so far apart, we didn’t get to spend near enough time with you but the times we did, were so memorable. We love and miss you!

Teammies for life

Serving on a FOCUS team with Bailey was such a blessing and so much fun! Bailey was willing to do what the Lord asked of him and put himself out there in order to serve the students at Memphis. He kept our team light hearted and having fun! We had lots of Midwestern moments together living in the south and with our Southern teammates. Bailey was striving to know and love the Lord and share Him with others. He inspired me to do the same!

From Chamber Choir to Europe

I am so blessed to know Bailey and your beautiful family. He had been there for me through chamber choir, plays and show choir. Bailey was always there with a supportive word or making an ugly face to make us all laugh. Our friendship continued and I was so blessed to spend time with the Laurets running around Europe during spring break in Rome. I loved being in Krakow with Bails, he showed us around Florence too. I remember getting pierogi in a basement restaurant with him and we all shared a drink. He was a huge supporter and mentor during my first year with FOCUS. Bailey encouraged me in my fundraising efforts, supported me by meeting me at mass and adoration. He's become the biggest patron of my missionary discipleship. I love you all and hope this serves as a reminder of the love that is shared between Bailey and so so many people. ❤️

BailStorm in the 901

Bailey was always supporting the students at Memphis when he was a missionary there. I loved his down to earth nature, his calming demeanor, and his huge love for Christ! We found out we went to the 2016 WYD at the same time and I happened to meet others from his group (small world) and were amazed that we were so close so far away from home. Who knew he’d be a missionary at my campus a few years later! Here we are 1) praying infront of an abortion facility where he and another missionary joined me in my hour on the sidewalk💚 and 2) him in our student center making me tell him a dad joke for a classic Gibson’s donut. I miss him a lot and am very thankful I got to know him well in the short time I did. To the heights! ⛰️

Mexico City Mission - a start of a great friendship

I had the blessing of meeting Bailey on a mission trip to Mexico City with FOCUS. We became fast friends and bonded over our love of theatre. Years after the trip we still stayed in touch- sending tiktoks and texts to check in with each other. I always loved getting to reunite at FOCUS conferences 😊
